Japanese maple leaf

Two Japanese Maple leaves in a jewel called “contarié”.

The definition of “contrarié” is a ring shaped with two ends that cross at the top, where the two final parts can be embellished with gems, pearls or the same shapes or with the most imaginative combinations.

And precisely because of its great variety of reinterpretations, the “contrarié” is one of the most popular models.

In this case, we chose the design of maple leaves expressed in two different ways.

One leaf was hand-carved from pale pink coral and the other was made with white Diamonds pavé.

Thus we created the contrast between two materials (one opaque, the other bright) and two colors. The result is a harmonious, light, delicate and very comfortable and pleasant jewel to wear.
The Japanese maple’s leaves are a symbol of sensitivity, renewal and confidentiality.

The curiosity of these leaves leads us to the philosophy of the enigmatic Zen gardens, where they must not be collected until the last leaf has fallen from the plant, because the cycle of life and seasons is sacred.
